Hello Rob,

good letter - good eye! It was sent on the eve of the "German War", which started a bit later, but in May 1866 it was clear, that it will be happening.

The weight was 10g or 6/10 of a loth exclusively.

It pays to know some history. Many postal history dealers in the United States don't know their European history. But, a general postal history dealer has to know so much, I can't fault them. I focus on 1850-1875, so I would be lost outside of that period myself. :whistling:
